WATER TREATMENT AND WATER DISTRIBUTION I-II-III
[4 DAYS INSTRUCTION + 1 DAY EXAM]
COURSE OVERVIEW
To provide operators of water treatment and water distribution systems with the knowledge required to successfully operate and maintain community facilities, and successfully challenge provincial certification exams.

COURSE OUTLINE
Water sources, characteristics and the hydrologic cycle Water treatment processes Water distribution systems Support systems Mathematics for water treatment and distribution system operators Provincial drinking water regulations Exam writing protocol and practice exams.

PREREQUISITE
Operators wanting to acquire their OIT (Operator-in-Training) certification can write their Class 1 exam and submit a form upon passing to have their OIT issued. The operators would be issued with the relevant OIT certificate on passing until they have passed their Entry Level Certification (for Water) and gained their 1 year of hands-on experience. At that point they can upgrade to the level one (having already passed the exam).
